Synopsis | There's a new game on the street - Otokoyo. After dark, seven masked children meet before the gates of the Demon City. Unless there are seven, the gates won't open. Then they go in to play hide and seek. None of them come out. When Hikora's sister Sorincha goes out to play one night and doesn't come back, he puts on a fox mask and sets out to find her with his best friend Yaimao. |
Review | This is an independent production and is largely a one-man creation by director Shuhei Morita. Masked characters, dim lighting and clever effects conceal the restrictions of a limited budget. The music soundtrack has loud passages that can startle the unwary viewer, and there is a surprise ending. An unusual anime worth checking out. |
