Synopsis Joe Yabuki, a youth from a bad district of Tokyo, is discovered by has-been coach Danbei. Joe carries on his life of petty crime, is caught and goes to prison. In prison, he realises the worth of Danbei's training and begins a successful career on his release.

Review An anime about a boxer who seems talented but in doubt as to whether he wants to follow boxing as a career. I know little about it, having seen a couple of episodes in Arabic. The artwork is in an interesting and suitably brutal-looking style. Joe
