| Notes | A second anime adaptation of the novella by Ouida. This one was made in 1992, directed by KODAMA Kenji for NTV/TMS. (26 episodes?) |
| Classification | - |
| Synopsis | B>The story: A boy, Jehan, befriends a large dog. His father falls ill, and the boy and dog deliver milk in a cart. There's a girl of about Jehan's age in the story. A tale of adversity. |
| Review | It looks superb, with very detailed Flemish backgrounds and fairly realistic and restrained character designs, and a seriousness of tone that fits its rather downbeat subject. I've seen a couple of episodes with Turkish dialogue, and the direction and character animation seem well executed. B>Verdict Looks better than the earlier WMT version, and clearly worth watching if you can get it in a dub you understand. |
