Synopsis | Kishimoto Kasumi ("Marina" in It. version) comes to live with her aunt, unaware that three male school students are also lodging at the house. One of them is Takasugi Yusaku. (It. = "Ricky") Eventually, love complications ensue, even though Kasumi has an older boyfriend, Muraki
Katsuhiko (It.= "Stefano") who is studying in the USA. See also "The Unofficial Mitsuru Adachi Homepage". |
Review | Exactly the same rather dated character design style as the other Adachi manga and anime derived from them. Once one has got past that, it can be seen that the situations are depicted with some delicacy and humour. Often what is unsaid is as important as what is said. The setting, highschool, with an emphasis on sports (including baseball, as in "Touch") will be familiar from the other Adachi stories, but a fresh set of characters and fresh story make it worth watching. The Italian edition retains the opening song "Love Shock" and the closing song, both with lyrics subtitled in Japanese. The closing credits are accompanied by a disconcertingly up-skirt view of a schoolgirl dancing. Not for the Teletubby audience, then... Recommended. |
