Synopsis | Futuristic Western adventure with lots of guns; crazed sheriff; etc. Vash the Stampede seems to be the (anti) hero. |
Review | I didn't get a chance to see "Trigun" when it was first broadcast in late 1998, but I'm really glad that I'm getting a second chance at this multi-level sci-fi show. In many ways, "Trigun" reminds me of the old Roger Zelazny novel "Lord of Light". Both are premised on backgrounds that are not revealed outright in the beginning of the story, but are instead shown as the story goes on. I love mysteries and sci-fi, so many questions, such as who and what Vash is, why is the planet so strange, who are the other deadly characters and so on make "Trigun" a totally addicting show for me. Rating after 16 episodes - A (Dave Baranyi)
As you get further into "Trigun" you will realize that it is not really a Western spoof. By mid series it turns into something quite different, but still very intriguing. |
