| Synopsis | In the manga, the heroine, Sapphire, is born to a king and queen who need a male heir and raise her as a boy.
The mischevous cherub Tink has given Sapphire two hearts, a man's and a woman's. She grows up as a boy, learning all the masculine skills and doing her best to please her father and the people.
In public she acts as a prince, but privately longs to be a girl. If it becomes known that the heir is a girl, the succession wll pass to the corrupt Duke Jeralmin. When Sapphire falls in love with the charming prince Franz Charming, she faces a terrible dilemma - duty or love. Evil forces in the kingdom try to prove she is a girl and unqualified to inherit the throne, and a wicked witch tries to steal her female persona. |
| Review | A near-legendary shoujo series, now over thirty years old. It looks surprisingly Disney-ish, reflecting the influences of the time. It now looks as though it was made for younger children. |
