Notes | It.= "Luna, principessa Argentata" |
Classification | - |
Synopsis | Princess Luna is hoping that her prince will come. A prince does arrive at the palace, and he's every bit as good-looking as she hoped. However he turns out to be slightly shorter than her, spurns her approaches, turns her parents into blocks of stone, and vanishes. Following episodes relate Luna's journey in search of somebody who can turn her parets back to normal. |
Review | Many of the minor characters are not human at all, but anthropomorphised vegetables, ducks, frogs etc, and the setting owes a lot to traditional European tales for children. In short there is very little that's Japanese in the setting. However the tale is told with acerbic humour and the human character designs are typical "cute anime", complete with the familiar shorthand for anger and other emotions. This series is clearly aimed at younger children but parents and older brothers and sisters who are roped into watching should enjoy it too. The lack of predictability shown in the script so far is a strong point. |
