Review Holy shit - I can't believe it's really this bad! I just watched the first episode of the new original anime "Najica" which is playing on the Japanese satellite channel, "The Kids Station". I'm just shaking my head in disbelief - the first 15 minutes of "Najica" actually gives "Aika" a run for its money in terms of panty shots per minute. And I'm not talking "ordinary" panty shots either, but non-stop crotch shots!
"Najica" is a girl super secret agent who is sent off on "impossible" missions. In the first episode ( which starts off with a screen-filling and lingering shot of her white panties from the rear ) Najica has to break into a mansion on a private island which is owned by an evil older woman ( with a big chest ) who is planning to do some "unspeakable things" to a drugged little redhead who is laying motionless in a skimpy teddy. ( "Class, can we spell fetish?" ) The evil woman is served and protected by hundreds of beautiful girls in French maid outfits that have skirts that barely reach their waists, let alone cover their panties. Non-stop action results in hundreds of panty shots during a giant "cat fight", and of course, Najica easily gets away with her objective. The second half of the episode covers Najica's return to her office, then home, where she finds someone there - it's the little redhead, her eyes now clear instead of lifeless, then the episode ends.
The show is such a blatant and pathetic rip-off of "Noir" that it isn't even funny. Seeing this poorly animated, badly acted, brain dead travesty of a copy makes me appreciate the style, general high quality and ambitiousness of "Noir" even more. "Najica" even makes "Tenshi no Shippo" seem like "great art" in comparison. The music is generic 60's action film style, the animation looks like it was left over from a late 80's OAV and the direction is amateurish at best.
But hey, if you like your anime to be totally mentally non-challenging and you have a great desire for more panty shots than a sidewalk gets on a hot summer's day, then this may well be the series for you.

This series is absolutely made for that kind of people, and the number of those kind of people aren't that small (^_^)
