Synopsis | A celebration, or parody, of many of the popular anime, movies and live-action sentai shows made in Japan. In the first episode there is great silliness as a diminutive girl in school gym-type costume appears and tries to persuade any takers to put on a magic belt and save the world,.and meanwhile a depressed young man put out of work by the recession makes phonecalls trying to get a job. Each store-owner says that he's just gone out of business (wrecked by an invading robot, though the young man doesn't know that). Eventually in despair he puts on the magic toy belt.... |
Review | It's certainly fun, though it doesn't rate as essential viewing. (GC) |
