Synopsis It's medaeval Japan: a cheeky vivacious little princess is bored with life in her father's castle of Amakara. Along with her best friend Takemaru, she sets about livening things up. As she is her father's sole heir, she is unlikely to be severely punished, and as she really loves Takemaru, he is not likely to get into hot water either.
It gives an idealised view of japanese childhood, in which small children are secure, loved, indulged, and their naughtiness always forgiven.
The original manga ran from 1949 to 1955.
About a young princess at Edo Period but with a lot of modern days amenities. (CSP)
