Fantasy Novel

Notes Based on a manga by MAYA Mineo, published in Hana to Yume magazine. The first anime series to introduce homosexuality to a TV audience. Contains tasteful nudity.
Classification shoujo
Synopsis Jack Bancoran, a former British MI-6 agent licensed to kill, is minder to young head of state Pataliro VIII. The joke is that Bancoran is gay and his opponents are gorgeous young men. Maraihi is a young (14 yr old) bishounen (and also gay) assassin whom the Diamond Syndicate sent out to take out Pataliro. Maraihi falls in love with Bancoran, Pataliro falls in love with both of them, and this sets the stage for the later episodes..
Review I haven't seen it, but apparently it's a wacky comedy on the lines of Monty Python or Dr. Slump.
Originally called "Pataliro" - the longer title was used from ep #27 onwards.
Credits Dir: Nobutaka Nishizawa etc
Des: Mineo Maya
