Fantasy Novel

Notes The episodes are very short.
A.k.a. "Pink Sisters".
Classification -
Synopsis Three sisters live together. One attends school and is still a virgin while the two elder sisters work in an office. They talk about intimate matters in a typically earthy Japanese way. The two elder girls get hitched to two very average men.
Review An unusual series presumably made for showing in a late-night slot. While the animation is quite basic and generic in style, the dialogue is something else! The earthiness of the dialogue may come as a shock to those who have only seen the usual anime aimed at younger viewers. Referring as it does to periods, sexy underwear, pubic hair shaving, boyfriends and other intimate topics it is typical of a kind of earthy Japanese humour which is common domestically but does not often appear in exported material. Note that this is not a porn anime - there is nothing on view that you won't have seen in many other Japanese animations or TV dramas.

The episodes are very short so it does not take long to view all 23 - especially if you fast-forward the credit sequences and eyecatches. It's funny, and fun to watch, though it sometimes feels like watching an animation of a 4-panel gag manga.

Recommended if you want to check out something a bit different which sheds a small light on Japanese daily life.
