Synopsis A spacecraft carrying the astronaut "Lion" crashes on take-off, killing "Lion" and many people on the ground, including the mother of Kamogawa Asumi, then a small girl, leaving her to be brought up by her father. Asumi's teacher comes to offer her condolences, and helps to look for Asumi, who has run off with her mother's ashes and has met a man wearing a Lion mask.
It is revealed (in the first episode) that Asumi's teacher was the girlfriend of astronaut "Lion", who seems to be making a ghostly re-appearance.
In the second episode, Asumi, now a teenager, resolves to become an astronaut. Predictably, her father is violently opposed to this.

Review A sensitively handled mixture of themes - sci-fi, growing up, love, etc. Looks like a series worth watching.
