Synopsis This is an adaptation of a mainstream novel, which is quite unusual for anime. Mima, an idol singer, from a none too successful three-girl group, Cham, quits the group under pressure from her management, who think she would make more money as an actress, and lands a minor role in a TV series. Her former fans are not pleased, and as her TV role and public image become sleazier, she finds that she is the target of a stalker. An Internet site describes every detail of her life. Her associates are threatened and killed. This is a gripping drama that gives some insights into the Japanese entertainment industry.
Review This is a most unusual anime, with a striking live-action look and feel. Seems that every viewer has a different interpretation of this movie. There are many layers of illusion. A must-see.
