Notes | Silent Mobius The Motion Picture, movie, Studio Tron, 1991, 50 mins. US: Streamline, 1992 From a manga by Kia Asamiya. |
Classification | - |
Synopsis | The A.M.P. combine police procedures and psionic powers to repel entities from another plane of existence. Katsumi Licqueur arrives in Tokyo from Hawaii to visit her mother in hospital, but has no idea that this visit will change her life, or that her father was a powerful wizard. |
Review | It consists of a long flashback, framed by Katsumi Licqueur's battle with a demonic entity. Watching the Japanese version some years after first release, I find myself wondering what I saw in it. It's clearly intended for those intimately familiar with the manga. It's atmospheric, but can't do justice to the manga or the characters in 50 minutes. |
