Synopsis Part of the continuity of earlier "serious" Gundams, including MSG 0080. Features a Char Aznable - like character, Anavel Gato, and a brash young Amuro -like character, Ko Uraki. The Earth Federation struggles to rebuild its space forces, and Zeon plots revenge. There is a conspiracy to wipe out the Earth Federation HQ by crashing a space colony onto it. Ko tries his utmost to prevent disaster but is still court-martialled and jailed.

Review This is a fine piece of anime space-opera, devoid of the irritating junior characters of other Gundam variants. It's straight drama, full of action, and the labyrinthine political conspiracies and betrayals that are the trademark of the better parts of the Gundam saga.
The characters, some of them flawed but complex, and sometimes with divided loyalties, work out their destinies on the battlefield of space.
I found it so exciting that I sometimes forgot to eat my TV dinner.
