Synopsis SF drama, about the relationship between a teenage mecha pilot sent off to pursue aliens in a long-term war and her boyfriend, left behind on Earth and growing up without her as each hyperspace jump her ship makes increases the age gap between them.

Review Aliens are detected after an attack on Martian settlers, and are pursued through the outer reaches of the Solar system, with a contact and armed clash occurring near Pluto. The pursuit then jumps to the solar system of a nearby star. The two main characters communicate by e-mail, with the inward mail coming at increasingly long intervals.
This anime is excellently scripted and excellently animated, and very moving. If you like sci-fi at all it's well worth tracking down.
